Founding Father and the 5th Governor of Virginia Benjamin Harrison was one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence. He often served as the chairman of the Committee of the Whole in Congress and he oversaw the final debates of the independence resolution which was an act of the Second Continental Congress declaring the United Colonies to be independent of the British Empire. This Benjamin Harrison signed land grant is framed and matted and measures 22-3/4 x 25-3/4”. The land grant speaks of granting, “a certain tract or parcel of land, containing two hundred and fifty five acres,” is signed and dated by Benjamin Harrison dated from 1785. This signed land grant comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
