Big Papi muscled 54 home runs during the '06 season, surpassing Jimmie Foxx as the Boston's single-season home run leader. Ortiz used this bat during that record-setting summer. Big Papi’s Rawlings 456B bat shows excellent use and is un-cracked. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are on the barrel along with white leather ball scuffs. Bat rack paint streaks and the impression of a weighted batting donut can be seen with Mota Stick on the handle. Ortiz’s number “34” is hand written on both ends in black marker. The bat’s specs are both stamped and written in blue marker on the knob end. Ortiz has signed the barrel in silver marker adding “God Bless You Bro!”. A great bat from the best DH in the game today. Letter of Authenticity (H53888) from PSA/DNA.
