While almost any given season in Pedro Martinez’s career ably demonstrates his Hall of Fame numbers, 2000 was his finest. His 18-6 record came at the expense of American League batters who could hit no better than .167 against him – a modern era record. He struck out 17 Rays in a game, then turned around and whiffed 15 Orioles in his next start. Some experts call his 2000 season the best single season performance in the history of the game. Pedro’s Louisville Slugger W248 shows moderate game use and is un-cracked. Martinez’s number “45” is found on the knob end. A great bat from the greatest season of Martinez’s Hall of Fame career. Letter of Authenticity 1B08862 from PSA/DNA. Please note LOA refers to batting practice use by Martinez
