Considered by many to be the best hitting catcher of all-time, Mike Piazza turned in another All-Star year in 2002, batting .280 with 33 home runs, taking home the Silver Slugger Award for the 10th time in his career. Piazza’s Mizuno Pro Ltd model bat exhibits heavy use and is un-cracked. Ball marks with stitch impressions are seen on the barrel along with blue ink transfers and cleat marks. There are green bat rack paint streaks and the imprint of a weighted batting donut on the barrel. A moderate coat of pine tar is on the mid-handle. Piazza’s initials “MP” are stamped into the knob end and his number “31” is hand written on the knob in black marker. Letter of Authenticity (1B07261) from PSA/DNA who have given this bat their highest grade of GU 10.
