Legendary broadcaster Mel Allen’s call echoes through the halls of baseball long after his storied tenure with the New York Yankees and as the voice of “This Week in Baseball.” This 4x2.5” light card stock pass was good for the 1951 season and notes that “When presented in person by Mr Mel Allen 215C 1&2, this pass will be honored for two seat locations reserved for players wives in the Lower Stand Section Three.” The front is colored purple, while the white back list instructions for entrance through the Yankee Stadium press gate. It is unsigned, though there is a space for it, and it also notes that the pass will be honored after purchase of tax ticket – “Federal Tax, 21 (cents) – Service Charge 4 (cents) – Total 25 (cents). As the great Allen often said, “Well How About That!”
