On June 29, 2004 Randy Johnson fanned Jeff Cirillo of the Padres to become only the fourth pitcher in history to strike out 4,000 batters. Johnson joined Nolan Ryan, Steve Carlton and Roger Clemens in the uber-exclusive bracket, ensuring his ultimate enshrinement in the Hall of Fame. This Official Major League Baseball was used by Johnson during the game and has signed the ball, marking the historic day with "Used during 4000 K Game 6/29/2004". As expected, the ball shows some game use but the signature and notation is in strong blue ball point grading a 9/10. MLB Hologram MR 457433.
