Randy Johnson's 303 career wins puts him among the top five greatest pitchers in the history of the game and only Nolan Ryan struck out more batters. Over the course of his career Johnson won every pitchers award there was to win: 5 Cy Young Awards, a World Series MVP and the Triple Crown. He pitched a no-hitter in 1990 and then one-upped himself by pitching a perfect game in 2004. Simply put, as long as he took the mound, Randy Johnson was the most dominant left-hander in the game. When there was no other award to win or record to shatter, ‘The Big Unit’ called it a career.
This Rawlings BU-51 fielder's glove was game used by Randy Johnson during his last season in the majors. Crafted from supple black cowhide, the glove shows very light game use and retains all its original webbing and laces. The glove has been customized with the addition of a "Big Unit" logo sweatband affixed to the wrist strap and Johnson's number "51" embroidered in white on the thumb. Johnson has signed the outside of the fingers with a summation of his Hall of Fame career "Big Unit HoF 15 2009 Game Used S.F. Glove Last Season of Career 303 Wins 4875K's 5xCy 10x All-Star". The signature and inscription are in contrasting silver pen that contrasts nicely with the black leather. Comes with a signed Letter of Authenticity from Randy Johnson himself.
