Only twice during Ryan Dempster’s productive 16-year career did the 2013 World Series champion earn All-Star bids. One of those appearances came in 2008 while pitching for the Cubs when the righty went 17-6 with a 2.96 ERA and 187 strikeouts. Dempster sported this signed, game-used white with blue pinstripes button-down Cubs jersey during that stellar 2008 campaign. Dempster’s signature appears on the reverse “4” of his number “46” jersey in bold, silver sharpie. A stitched Cubs crest patch is found on the left chest of the jersey with the iconic “walking bear” logo stitched on the left sleeve. “DEMPSTER” appears across the top back of the jersey with his number “46” below, both in blue on red tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey boasts a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with “SIZE 52.” The inside collar of the jersey features a white strip tag that reads “46 52 08 S10.” The jersey shows light evidence of game use and comes with an LOA from noted sports jersey expert Dave Miedema, as well as a PSA/DNA COA, number “X90369.”
