Left-handed pitcher Sam McDowell labored through his first four years in the Big Leagues before hitting his stride beginning in the 1965 season, his first of six All-Star appearances through 1971. This McDowell game-used bat comes from the 1970 All-Star Game in Cincinnati, as is evidenced by the labeling on the barrel. The Hillerich & Bradsby O16 model ash bat features a flame-burned finish, measures 35 inches and weighs in at 30.8 ounces. The game-used bat shows light evidence of use with minor barrel scuffing and remains un-cracked. The McDowell All-Star Game used bat is accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA, certification number “1B09558.”
