The 1996 World Series played between the New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves, saw the Yankees fall behind the first two games losing to Atlanta. During the next four games of the series the Yankees came back to life defeating the Braves to capture their first championship since 1978. This black Louisville Slugger baseball bat features the caption, “New York Yankees World Champions 1996” engraved in green on the sweet spot of the bat. Also, engraved into the bat are the facsimile names and signatures of the entire 1996 New York Yankees championship team all done in gold. Manager Joe Torre’s facsimile signature stands alone, as the only signature on the bat that is engraved in green.
