Since he never retired from the game, first becoming a manager and then an executive, Frank Robinson’s career is sometimes overlooked. When you get into the numbers what emerges is one of the most dominant offensive ball players in the history of the game. Robinson was a superstar with the Cincinnati Reds of the late 1950’s and 60’s where he won the 1961 NL MVP Award. Robinson then switched to Baltimore where he won the AL’s MVP Award five years later. He's still the only player to do that and when you add in his Triple Crown in 1966 and 586 home runs, Frank Robinson becomes one of the greatest ballplayers to ever step foot in either league. The Hillerich & Bradsby R182 model bat has been made game ready and is un-cracked. Robinson’s number “20” is hand written on both ends and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in black marker. While a game used Frank Robinson bat is quite a rarity, this 500 Home Run Club member’s autograph is notoriously difficult to obtain – to have one on a true game ready bat from his playing days is quite extraordinary. Letter of Authenticity 1B09610 from PSA/DNA.
