Affectionately nicknamed "Kong" and "Sky King", the 6' 6" Kingman was known for his long Major League home runs, with one measured at over 530 feet. During Kingman’s career he played for the SF Giants, NY Mets, SD Padres, California Angels, NY Yankees, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland A’s. Kingman was a three-time All-Star, two-time NL Home Run Champion and was the AL Comeback Player of the Year in 1984. He was also the MLB first player to hit 400 or more home runs without being eventually inducted into the Hall of Fame.
This WC115 Worth bat is from the 1986 label period. The bat is 35.5 inches and 33.8 ounces, consistent with the manufacturer’s ordering records. The bat has moderate use and with a handle crack that has been secured by tape. Kingman’s number 26 has also been hand-written on the knob in marker.
