Unless you’ve seen one up close or held it in your hands, an authentic home plate is probably larger and heavier than most would imagine. Measuring 17” across, there would appear to be ample room for the average pitcher to work his trickery against aspiring hitters, but that wasn’t the case when Joltin’ Joe came to the plate. The Hall of Famer crossed home many times during his storied career, and he has signed both of these items in blue felt-tip marker. Each shows some wear, with one displaying toning and a small chip off the rubberized “black” edging at the point. Each item comes with JSA Letter of Authenticity.
