The 1977 Major League Baseball season saw the Minnesota Twins finish fourth in the American League West Division. Though missing the playoffs the Twins still had something to celebrate as their First Baseman Rod Carew won the AL MVP award, the Roberto Clemente Award, and he was named yet again to the All-Star team. In 1977 Carew was also the AL Batting Champion as he flirted with the ever elusive .400 batting average, finishing the season batting an impressive .388. This 1977 team signed baseball features the signatures of such notable players as Hall of Famer Rod Carew, catcher and two time All-Star Butch Wynegar, former two time World Series champion in his playing days coach Don McMahon, former eight time All-Star coach Tony Olivia, and signed on the sweet spot of the ball is team manager Gene Mauch. Overall there are 23 signatures on this official American League model, RO-A, Lee MacPhail Rawlings (Haiti) baseball. All signatures were signed using a blue ballpoint pen.
