The 1977 Major League Baseball season saw the Kansas City Royals finish second in the American League West Division. A bright spot late in the season, third baseman George Brett made his Major League debut who would go on to have a Hall of Fame career collecting over 3,000 hits. During the season pitcher Steve Busby would throw the first no hitter in Royals history, defeating the Detroit Tigers. This 1973 team signed baseball features the signatures of such notable players as future HOF third baseman George Brett, 1973 All-Star second baseman Cookie Rojas, outfielder and the always entertaining and talented Lou Piniella, and signed on the sweet spot is team manager Jack McKeon. Overall there are 27 signatures on this official American League Reach (USA) (Sewn in Haiti) Spalding baseball. All signatures were signed using a blue ballpoint pen.
