It was a pitcher’s duel as advertised on July 18, 2012, as Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee matched up with Dodger fireballer Clayton Kershaw. Neither pitcher earned a decision as each allowed just one run in eight innings of a game eventually won by the Phils, 5-3 in 12 innings. This Official Major League (Selig) offering was served up by Kershaw and fouled off by Placido Polanco in the top of the 5th in that contest. Kershaw has signed in blue ink along with his number on the panel below the Dodger Stadium 50th Anniversary logo. The ball shows nice use including some clay residue, and is authenticated by both JSA and MLB.
