Benjamin Harrison, the 23rd President of the United States signed this approximate, 3x7.75 Fletcher & Sharpe’s Bank check dated, “Sept 8th, 1879,” the back of which has been stamped as, “Paid, Sept 11, 1879, Fletcher’s Bank.” Republican President, Benjamin Harrison started his political career first as an attorney and a church leader, and later became a United States Senator. During his presidency he supported pensions for veterans and education for free African Americans. Harrison also helped to modernize the U.S. Navy and he created the National Forest which focuses on conservation and protecting wildlife. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA 83779373,
