William McKinley was the twenty-fifth President of the United States who was the last president to have served in the American Civil War. During his presidency he helped the country achieve quick economic growth and he led the U.S. to a swift victory in the Spanish-American war in which the U.S. received Spain’s major overseas colonies as part of the peace settlement between the two countries. He is also remembered for annexing Hawaii and for keeping the nation on the gold standard. This signed bas-relief, three dimensional portrait photograph of William McKinley measures 5.5” x 7.5” on a 10.25” x 12.25” beveled matte. Inscribed above his signature is, “With cordial regards, W McKinley.” The back of the matted portrait reads, “Tabler Bas-Relief Photographs,” out of New York City. Item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA #X03951, signature Graded: 9.
