For almost two decades the Yankees knew if they could hold a lead going into the last inning, Mariano Rivera would take over and seal the win. Rivera's 652 career saves helped his Yankees win five World Championships and a World Series MVP Award for himself. Over and over The Sandman proved he was the greatest relief pitcher of all-time, and what's more, he completely appreciated and respected his unique place in baseball history. This 20" x 24" color photograph captures Rivera's last appearance as a Yankee. In his distinctive hand, Rivera has personally inscribed the photo with his own thoughts and insights on his last game in pinstripes, a full 14 lines of what it meant to be a New York Yankee. Penned in contrasting silver pen, Rivera signed the bottom of this poignant photograph and marked it as 1/10, the first in the limited edition. Letter of Authenticity from Steiner.
