This original vintage letter typed on colorful Harley Davidson stationery and dated June 1, 1937 is an in-house correspondence concerning oil use and engine noise for a specific model motor, and is signed by a corporate office Service Manager in black fountain pen ink. Harley Davidson, founded in 1903 when Bill Harley and the Davidson brothers built three motorcycles, celebrates its' 100th Anniversary in 2003. "Harley's" have reigned as the "King of the Road" during most of this time period and have become an America's symbol of freedom of spirit, and a cultural icon.
