Offered is a collection of 1,550+ early 20th century tobacco tags. These tags were used by the tobacco companies to advertise their products to both the retailers and customers. They were used from the late 19th century and into the 1920s until they found that paper inserts were a cheaper way to market their products and offer redemptions. Different shapes and sizes, the condition varies throughout the collection. Many of the tags exhibit small areas of rust or paint chipping and general handling wear.
