Major League Baseball’s all-time strikeout king, Nolan Ryan, picked up milestone punch-out No. 5,000 against fellow Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson in a game on Aug. 22, 1989 on what else but a 96 mile-per-hour fastball. This 20x25-inch black-and-white canvas wrapped around a wooden frame captures Ryan following through on the historic pitch as Henderson swings and misses. Ryan, who ended his career with 5,714 strikeouts, has signed the canvas in bold, silver sharpie with the inscription “All Time K King.” Henderson also signed the canvas in bold, silver sharpie with the inscription “all time S.B King.” The upper center portion of the portrait boasts the inscription “5,000th K – 8/22/89.” The dual-signed canvas comes with a JSA COA, verification number “W796628.”
