Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath picked up his nickname “Broadway Joe” from teammate Sherman Plunkett following the release of a 1965 Sports Illustrated cover that depicted the Jets signal caller in the foreground of the popular and well-lit New York City street. Namath signed this iconic image, which has been converted to a 20x24-inch canvas around a wood frame, in bold, gold sharpie as “Broadway Joe Namath.” The signed canvas, which features two faint silver streaks through Namath’s neck and shoulder, remains in otherwise sound condition. The Namath signed canvas comes with a JSA COA, verification number “W796327.”
