Just one season before being named the American League Manager of the Year, Tony LaRussa guided his 1987 Oakland Athletics to a .500 finish at 81-81. This road gray Rawlings jersey was worn by the skipper during that ’87 campaign, the second of his decade-long stop in the Bay City. Tags sewn inside the tail indicate it as “Set 1 1987,” size 44. A script “Oakland” crosses the breast of the button-front top, and “LARUSSA” is stitched on a nameplate in green lettering above his number 10 in green tackle twill with yellow trim. The “All Star Game” patch has been removed from the left sleeve, but the jersey shows nice use and is in very good condition. Comes with full LOA from noted game-used expert Dave Miedema and LOA from the Athletics along with Polaroid photos of front and back.
