This is a stunning Speed Boat Racing trophy that stands a formidable 26 inches tall and about 9 inches wide at the base. This is an incredibly looking, art deco style trophy that was presented with an attached plaque engraved as follows: “B.B.C. 55 Over All High Point,” representing this award presented by the Baytown Boat Club of Baytown, Texas. The lone star on the face of the trophy likely represents the state nickname, the “Lone Star" state. A figural speedboat racing through a wave on top of a figural globe tops the loving cup that stands above the base of the trophy. This is a very special trophy awarded from this competitive and oftentimes dangerous sport.
