This is the "75th Anniversary All-Time Team" trophy for presentation to former Chicago Bear offensive guard and defensive tackle George Musso who earned the distinction of being selected to the National Football League 75th Anniversary All-Time Team by a select committee in 1994. Musso who was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982 played his entire twelve year career with the Bears (1933-1944) as both an offensive and defensive lineman and was selected as a member of the 75th Anniversary All-Time Two-Way Team along with other distinguished peers including Sammy Baugh, Bronko Nagurski, and Ernie Nevers to name but a few. The weighty 11 inch tall trophy is a distinctive award composed of wood and green marble. Attached to the top of the wood base is a 1/2" thick piece of marble measuring 7” X 6” rising above two thin metal stands with a 3-Dimensional metallic relief design featuring former NFL icons on either side. The wooden base has marble plaques on three panels. The center panel has the NFL 75th Anniversary logo. The left panel reads, "Sixty-minute star, specializing in big play as middle guard on defense. First to earn All-NFL accolades at two positions – tackle and guard. Captained Bears nine seasons.” and the right panel reads “George Musso, Chicago Bears Guard, tackle 1933-1934.” NOTE: Musso actually played on the Bears from 1933-1944. Few of these elite trophy awards have ever been available for collectors to purchase and when available, have sold for upwards to $5,000 and higher.
