If there could be a single career defining moment in a career defined by so many moments for the player most commonly acknowledged as best there’s ever been, it would have to be the final moment of Michael Jordan’s Sixth NBA Championship for the Chicago Bulls in Game Six of the 1998 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Down 86-83 with 41.9 seconds left to play “His Airness” received the inbound pass and immediately drove to the bucket hitting a right-handed layup to bring the Bulls within one point at 86-85. On the ensuing Jazz possession forward Karl Malone received a pass in the low post and while jockeying for position with Bulls forward Dennis Rodman had the ball stolen from him by Jordan. Methodically making his way up the court Jordan stopped at the top of the key to briefly assess the situation; with 10 seconds on the clock Jordan dribbled the ball a few times with his right hand and then crossed over to his left shaking off Jazz defender Byron Russell and hitting an open jumper that to give the Bulls an 87-86 lead with five seconds left to play. It would be the last shot Jordan would ever take and make for the Chicago Bulls and the climactic moment of his illustrious career capturing his NBA record sixth Finals MVP award. The 1998 Finals also marked the second three-peat championship run for the Bulls in the Jordan era.

     Jordan wore this size-50 Chicago Bulls white mesh home jersey during the 1997-1998 championship season. “Bulls” and Jordan’s number “23” are sewn onto the front of the jersey in red and black tackle twill and the collar and sleeve openings are trimmed in red, white and black elastic with and NBA logo patch embroidered on the left front shoulder. NBA Authentics, Team Nike Sports and Chicago Bulls manufacturer’s labels are on the left front tail with a “Length +4 Made in the U.S.A flag tag. Jordan’s name and number “23” are also in red and black tackle twill on the back of the jersey and Jordan has signed the “2” in his 23 in bold black sharpie with a “Best Wishes” inscription. Jersey shows light wear and comes with MeiGray Group LOA who have photo matched this jersey from a February 28th, 1998 game against the Sacramento Kings where Jordan poured in 28 points in a winning effort. The jersey also includes a Chicago Bulls CharitaBulls letter of authenticity.
