Former Atlanta Braves centerfielder Andruw Jones wore this white button-down Majestic home Braves jersey during the fifth inning of the Jackie Robinson Day game between the Braves and the visiting Florida Marlins. The Braves won the game 8-4 and Jones hit a two-run home while wearing this jersey during the bottom of the fifth inning against Marlins pitcher Rick van den Hurk. Jones would finish the day going 1-3, with a home run, two RBI, a walk and run scored.
This jersey features “Braves” sewn on across the chest in cursive script in red and navy blue tackle twill with a tomahawk. A ribbed material navy blue/red/navy blue piping runs along the collar and down both sides of the buttons as well as the sleeve ends. “42” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red on navy blue tackle twill and Jones signed his name in black marker on the middle of the “2”. The left sleeve has a black circular baseball patch with “LB 33 JS” in white that honored the passing of both Lew Burdette and Johnny Sain. Hand written on this jersey on the inside front tail in black marker vertically is “2 Run HR bottom 5th 4/15/07”. This jersey shows moderate use and the manufacturer’s tag on the bottom front left tail has been removed. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB497091), which authenticates this jersey’s use by Jones during the bottom of the fifth inning and a full LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature on the jersey.
