Their record increased to a staggering 125-50 after a successful playoff run where the Yankees dropped only two games, both coming in the ALCS against the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees swept the San Diego Padres in the World Series, as Mariano Rivera saved three of the four Fall Classic contests.
This baseball has been signed by 35 members of the 1998 Yankees, including Hall of Famers Joe Torre and Tim Raines. Torre has signed the sweet spot of this Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball in black pen. The remaining signatures have been written in blue pen.
