Presented here is a collection of five New York Mets game used jerseys. The first belonged to Bobby Bonilla, and was worn in 1993. This white, button down, pinstriped home jersey has “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Bonilla’s number “25” is sewn on the front and back in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “BONILLA” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Russell Athletic size “46” tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey, which shows light wear. The next jersey was worn by Howard Johnson in 1993. This white, button down, pinstriped home jersey has “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Johnson’s number “20” is sewn on the front and back in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “JOHNSON” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Russell Athletic size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey, which shows light to moderate wear.
The third jersey in this lot was worn by Wally Whitehurst in 1992. “New York” is sewn across the front of this gray, button down road jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Whitehurst’s number “47” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “WHITEHURST” is sewn across the back of this jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. A memorial patch for William Shea is sewn on the left sleeve. Russell Athletic size “46”, with an attached “1 [inch] Extra Body Length” flag, and “New York Mets 92s” tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey, which shows moderate wear.
The next jersey was worn by Mike Cubbage in 1993. “New York” is sewn across the front of this gray, button down road jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Cubbage’s number “4” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “CUBBAGE” is sewn across the back of this jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. A Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Russell Athletic size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey shows light to moderate wear.
The final jersey was a minor league jersey worn by an unknown player. Rawlings was not the official MLB uniform supplier in 1996, the year this jersey was worn, however this does not disqualify it from use in the minor leagues. “Mets” is sewn on the front of this white, pinstriped, button down home jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. The number “22” is sewn on the front and back in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Rawlings and “46 96” tags are sewn on the front inside tail of this jersey, which shows moderate wear.
