Addie Joss was one of the greatest pitchers of his day, throwing a no-hitter and a perfect game. Unfortunately, after nine seasons with a career 160-97 record and 1.89 ERA, Joss contracted meningitis and passed away early in 1911. He remains the only Hall of Fame baseball player not to play the required 10 seasons. This portrait of Joss is one of the most popular cards in the entire T206 set. His portrait in a dark Cleveland uniform, contrasts well against the bold yellow background. This example has four square corners, is centered slightly to the top with a small blemish near the top border. The reverse also has a small blemish on the Sweet Caporal 150 Series back.
