JULY 19TH AUCTION

During the Dodgers first years on the west coast, left fielder Tommy Davis was their star slugger. Though playing in a notorious “pitcher’s park”, Davis won back-to-back batting titles in ‘62 and ‘63, the only Dodger ever to do so. This Louisville Slugger M169 bat shows heavy use including a crack in the handle. Slight grain swelling is evident on the back of the barrel and numerous cleat impressions, white leather ball scuffs and paint streaks can be seem throughout. Davis’ bat has taken on a warm patina over the years and is a fine example of the Dodgers’ first years in LA. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05317 has been affixed to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
