The second All-Star Game was held at New York’s Polo Grounds. To continue the exciting precedent begun the previous year, the 1934 game was an exciting event. The Giants’ Carl Hubbell struck out five consecutive American League stars but it was in vain as the AL went on to win their second All-Star Game. Reach (Harridge) Official American League ball signed by an amazing 27 members of both the National and American League teams. Hall of Famers are Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Rogers Hornsby, Jimmie Foxx, Red Ruffing, Mickey Cochrane, Goose Goslin, Bucky Harris, Chuck Klein, Joe Cronin, Earl Averill, Rick Ferrell, Charlie Gehringer, Lefty Grove and Heinie Manush. Other notables include Tommy Bridges, Ben Chapman, Mel Harder, Sam West, Pinky Higgins, Eddie Rommel, Tommy Bridges, Jack Russell and Billy Rogell (who was not on either team). Schoolboy Rowe’s signature has been traced over and Hank Greenberg and Bill Dickey are clubhouse.
