As one of the greatest hitting catchers of all time, Mike Piazza is certainly a future Hall of Famer. Not bad for the former 62nd round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1988 draft. Offered is Piazza’s Los Angeles Dodgers road jersey donned during the strike-shortened season of 1994. This gray knit, button-down garment features "Dodgers" angled across the chest in blue-on-white tackle twill. Applied to the front in red tackle twill is Piazza’s number "31" with his number “31” and his name "PIAZZA" in blue-on-white on the reverse. The sleeves are trimmed in Dodger blue and white. Situated on the left front tail is a "RAWLINGS" manufacturer’s label, with attached size "50" and “Set 2 1994” tags. Also stitched into the tail are the “2 inch extra length” and “TAPERED” patches. An MLB 125th Anniversary patch adorns the right sleeve, commemorating the 125th season of Major League baseball. The item reveals evidence of nice wear including dirt marks and other abrasions, and shows no signs of repair or alteration. This is a tremendous gamer of one of the greatest hitting catchers in baseball history. LOA from Kim A. Stigall, Ballpark Heroes, and a well regarded game used jersey expert.
