Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this Converse Chuck Taylor 1966-67 All-America plaque in recognition of his contributions to the University of California-Los Angeles basketball team. Abdul-Jabbar, then known as “Lew Alcindor”, averaged 29 points and 15.5 rebounds per game in 1966-67, his first season with the varsity basketball squad. Under Kareem’s leadership, UCLA won the 1966-67 NCAA Basketball championship. This offered plaque measures 13 x 10 inches and honors several Hall of Famers as members of their All-America team, including Wes Unseld and Earl Monroe in the First Team and Walt Frazier and Mel Daniels in the Second Team. This plaque derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
