Game-used glove from the first two seasons of a future Hall of Famer. Albert Pujols burst into the National League in 2001 with a smart .329 average and 37 homers which earned him a spot on the All Star team. The first Cardinal rookie to do so since the 1950’s. Pujols set the record for RBI by a rookie and was unanimously voted the NL Rookie of the Year. 2002 was a repeat of the previous year as Pujols firmly established himself as the league’s most exciting young player. Pujol’s Mizuno Pro LTD - 12 3/4” glove shows excellent use and the deep pocket of the tan glove has been darkened with much use. “Albert Pujols” is embroidered in black on the outside of the ring finger and his number “5” is embroidered in black at the base of the thumb. Pujols has signed the top of the index finger with his name and number in black Sharpie. Since Pujols was under a Nike contract at the time and used their product during league games, PSA/DNA has classified this glove as a warm up glove. PSA/DNA for glove game use sticker number 1G00046 is affixed to the inside of the glove and JSA sticker number B46760 is affixed to the wrist strap. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
