Lot of three limited edition Hillerich & Bradsby engraved Philadelphia Phillies presentation bats. Besides being extremely attractive, these H&B commemorative bats are highly sought after and rare because they were only presented to players, executives and baseball dignitaries. The red and gold bat celebrates the 1980 World Championship team and follows an H&B tradition that was sadly discontinued in 1998. The surface has a few flakes on the barrel and some surface marks from storage, but the gold ink pops off the red base and makes a very striking piece from a memorable team. The 1983 NL Champions bat is marked as number 192 of 800 and is in very good condition. The Phillies 100th Anniversary bat has the special logo design with 4 versions of the teams cap “P” throughout the years and engraved facsimile signatures from a century of Philadelphia Phillies greats from Grover Cleveland Alexander and Lefty O’Doul to Robin Roberts and Pete Rose. Shows some streaking from storage but the contrasting gold ink leaps off the bat, displaying beautifully. Great lot of three highly sought after Hillerich & Bradsby presentation bats commemorating Philadelphia baseball at its finest.
