In addition to being Topps’ classic first major baseball card issued, the 1952 Topps set is well-known for having a plethora of key HOFers and stars within its very difficult high number series. Within this group of elite players is Roy Campanella, who in 1952, was in the midst of his three MVP seasons in five years. This 1952 “Campy” has been graded by PSA at GOOD 2. The well centered card has bright yellow color, with moderately rounded corners, the pesky “snow” across the front and a horizontal crease running across the subjects chin. The reverse is clean. One of the greatest players during the 1950s and arguably the game’s best catcher, this Campanella card was issued during this great player’s heyday. Graded by PSA GOOD 2.
