Presented in this lot are five New York Yankees season passes from 1943 to 1965. The first pass is from the Yankees World Series title year of 1943, when they beat the St. Louis Cardinals in a five-game Fall Classic. This pass, issued to a “Vincent Vesce”, has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21355594). The second pass in this lot is from 1947, again a Yankees championship season. The Bronx Bombers defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers in seven to win the 1947 World Series title. This press pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23422049). The third pass in this lot is from 1952, and it was issued to Leonard Lewin of the N.Y. Mirror. The 1952 season saw the Yankees defeat the Dodgers yet again to claim the World Series title. This press pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23422052).
The fourth pass in this lot is from 1963. It is a press pass issued to Joe Reichler of the Associated Press. The Yankees were the American League champs in 1963, however they fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers and World Series MVP Sandy Koufax in the 1963 World Series. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23422054). The final pass in this lot is from the 1965 season. This press pass was issued to Ike Kuhns of The Advance. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (252293194).
