Offered in this lot are four correspondences between the Uruguayan soccer referee Domingo Lombardi and the Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol (AUF) in 1942. In the first letter, the AUF congratulates Lombardi for his performance during the 1941 season, as well as his work with his fellow referees. These letters include one sent by Lombardi and three sent by the AUF, all dated between the 20th of May and the 10th of July 1942. Lombardi has signed his typed letter in blue pen, while the signatures of numerous AUF figures appear on the other three letters. These items are a fantastic piece of soccer history! This item comes with a LOA confirming it is part of the Rony Almeida Soccer Collection.
