Italian Argentine winger Raimundo Orsi was presented this medal by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) after leading his adopted country to victory in the 1934 FIFA World Cup. Orsi, a star in northern Italy for Juventus, scored the tying goal with less than ten minutes left in an eventual a 2-1 victory over Czechoslovakia in the tournament final in Rome. Orsi was already a known winner in Italy, having won four of his five Serie A titles with Juventus by the time the 1934 World Cup kicked off.

This offered World Cup medal is circular and silver in color, with a high-relief image of a soccer scene on the front. The back is etched with “F.I.G.C. / Raimundo Orsi / Campione / F.I.F.A. 1934”. This historic medal is in excellent condition. This item comes with a LOA confirming it is part of the Rony Almeida Soccer Collection.
