Rarely is a set of baseball cards accorded the intense, almost cult-like preoccupation that attaches to E107, and more rare still is the release that truly merits such fascination. E107 bridges the gap between the classic tobacco insert era of the late 19th Century and the card-abundant 1910s. Not only are the E107's highly desirable, they're super-rare, and virtually never found in respectable condition. For these reasons – along with a large measure of industry mystique! – this exceptional "E"-card is certain to be received with keen interest and well-deserved acclaim. Presented is a very special Breisch Williams piece, the first standard-sized period collectible depicting the immortal Cy Young. The great hurler was in his third season with the Boston Red Sox at the time of the offered card's distribution. The 1903 campaign represented a banner effort for Young, as he led the league in victories and winning percentage (with a 28-9 record) and tallied 34 complete games pitched, with seven shutouts. Further cementing his legacy, Young helped the Boston Red Sox win the first-ever World Series with key victories in Games 5 and 7. Clearly, this discreetly designed, photographic memento, with its peerless subject, stands as a monumental relic of its time.

Graded PR 1 by PSA, one of just two copies validated by that company. Hall of Famer. This inherently fragile item delivers a wear-impeded but nevertheless extraordinarily crisp black-and-white portrait image. The illustration's central and supporting elements have been negatively impacted by the effects of past handling, but the piece manages to overcome these discrepancies to maintain an enthralling quality of presentation. Significantly, the familiar and esteemed Carl Horner portrait likeness of Cy Young remains unmistakable. The unprinted reverse concedes condition liabilities consistent with those observed on the card's front. This is a resoundingly credible representative of a highest-demand heirloom that is very seldom offered. A proud, unapologetic survivor, in Poor condition.
