In his second year with the Philadelphia Phillies, Pete Rose played in every game on the schedule for the second straight year and the Phils won their first NL Pennant in 50 years, and first World Series in the 98-year-history of the franchise to date. Rose's signature is one of 25 on this clean white Official Major League Allan H. [Bud] Selig ball. Rose signed just above the MLB logo on the same panel as Hall of Famers, Mike Schmidt and Steve Cartlon. Other signatures on the ball include the rest of the Phillies 1980 starting lineup: Bob Boone, Manny Trillo, Larry Bowa, Greg Luzinski, Garry Maddox and Bake McBride as well as: Ron Reed, Ozzie Virgil, Greg Gross, Larry Christensen, Warren Brusstar, Dickie Noles, Ramon Aviles, Dan Larson, Kevin Saucier, Keith Moreland, Del Unser, Marty Bystrom, Luis Aguayo and manager Dallas Greeen, who signed on the sweet spot and two others.
