The first big blow for the Yankees in Game 7 of the 1952 World Series was a 5th inning home run by left fielder Gene Woodling, which gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead. This approximately 8” x 10” photo shows Woodling being greeted by ecstatic teammates including Mickey Mantled, Phil Rizzuto and Gil McDougald. In addition, Casey Stengel is helping lead the applause. Some light toning on both sides, with detailed handwritten game notes, indicating final two runs of 4-2 Yanks win came from a Mantle HR and Mantle single.
