Jerry West’s nicknames include “Mr. Clutch” for his ability to make a big play in a clutch situation, such as his famous buzz-beating 60 foot shot that tied game 3 of the 1970 NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. He is the silhouette in the incorporated NBA logo. He was elected into the NBA All Star game 14 times and was chosen as All Star MVP in 1972. Having played in nine NBA Finals, he is also the only player in NBA history to be named Finals MVP despite being on the losing team (1969). West was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980 and voted as one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history in 1996. Lot of (10) Jerry West autographed Spalding basketballs. Each basketball is signed in silver sharpie pen and is inscribed ‘HOF 1980-2011’, they are all 28.5” mid size indoor/outdoor basketballs. Each basketball is still in the original Spalding box and the lot is PSA Pre-certified.
