Offered in this lot are 10 items deriving directly from the personal collection of Hall of Famer and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The first item is a yellow Adidas XXLT long sleeve shirt that has the Lakers logo screen-printed on the front and the full seasons in which the Lakers won the NBA title on the back. Kareem has signed this jersey in black marker on the front and inscribed “HOF ‘95”. The next item is a Wheaties cover with action shots of Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Byron Scott, Kareem, A.C. Green and Michael Cooper. The caption reads “1987 1988 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS BACK-TO-BACK. A gold plate was added that has etched “Team of Champions Kareem Abdul-Jabbar June 1988”. The finals in this lot include eight glass Lakers’ mugs that say “1987 WORLD CHAMPIONS” with the Lakers’ logo on one side and “The Drive For Five” in purple, along with “CHAMPIONSHIP YEARS” in black and “1980 1982 1985 1987” in purple below. The “JACK IN THE BOX” logo is printed below. All of these items come directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a LOA signed by Kareem.
