Many Met fans that are old enough to remember the moment, will probably be able to tell you where they were when veteran outfielder Mookie Wilson hit a ground ball toward first base that Bill Buckner failed to come up with in the late moments of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series, which the Mets went on to win in Game 7. The 1986 World Series champion New York Mets set a franchise record of 108-54 en route to dispatching Boston, with the “Curse of the Bambino” rising to prominence once again after Buckner’s on-field mishap during Game 6 serving as proof that the curse was real.

Presented here are a lot of 12 Official Major League Peter V. Ueberroth 1986 World Series baseballs signed by 24 members of the 1986 World Champion New York Mets. The baseballs feature “RAWLINGS” stamped in red on the west panel. “1986 WORLD SERIES” is stamped in red on the east panel. The baseballs include 24 signatures on each baseball, signed with a blue ballpoint pen, with key signatures from Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Davey Johnson, Ray Knight, Mookie Wilson, and Roger McDowell. The signatures are clear and bold, and the baseballs are bright-white and in great condition. The baseballs come with individual LOA’s from Beckett Authentication (A33525, A33526, A33527, A33528, A33529, A33530, A33531, A33532, A33533, A33534, A33535, A33536) for the signatures.
