Offered is a lot of 17 White House Christmas cards given to a former White House staff member. This lot includes four copies of a 6 x 7½ -inch white paper card with envelope, with the image of a room in the white house in color on the front of the card, and the legend “The Yellow Oval Room, First Family Residence The White House 2000” below the image in gold type. The sentiment is printed in black on white paper tipped in the card. The fifth item in this lot is a 5 x 7-inch white paper card with envelope, featuring a photo of the White House with a lighted Christmas tree in front, and an onionskin insert with a list of names, and the sentiment “Happy Holidays from the Men and Women of the White House Mess.” The sixth item in this lot is a 5½ x 7½ -inch ivory card with a mounted 4 x 6-inch color photograph on the front of a grand piano in the White House with red curtains and flowers in the background, and the sentiment tipped in.

The seventh item in this lot is a 5¼ x 7½ -inch white card with a 4 x 6-inch reproduction of a painting of the White House with snow on the ground in front and two black dogs and a black cat on the snow-covered lawn mounted on the front and a tipped-in sentiment dated “2005” in gold type. The envelope for this item is torn at the top from when it was opened. The eighth item in this lot is a 5¼ x 7½ -inch white card with envelope, with a 4 x 6-inch reproduction on the front  of a painting of the Washington Monument viewed from a White House balcony with evergreen bunting, and a tipped-in sentiment dated “2008” in black type with a gold seal. The ninth item in this lot is a 12¼ x 13½ -inch white paper folio with gold paper seal, and an 11½ x 13½ -inch white cardstock sheet with a color painting of the exterior of the White House with snow falling and Christmas decorations. The sentiment below the painting is “The White House, An American Treasure North Portico, 1999.” The 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th items in this lot are 12¼ x 13½ -inch white paper folios with gold paper seals and an 11½ x 13½ -inch white cardstock sheet with a color painting of the Yellow Room in the White House with a decorated Christmas tree and a black and white cat. The sentiment below the painting is “The Yellow Oval Room, First Family Residence The White House 2000”.

The 14th item in this lot is an 13 x 17-inch white embossed paper folio with a 12 x 16-inch ivory cardstock insert, with a painting of a room of the White House with a fire in the fireplace, Christmas bunting on the mantle, and a portrait of George Washington over the Mantle, with the sentiment in black type dated “2003”. The 15th item in this lot is a 13 x 17-inch ivory embossed paper folio with a 12 x 16-inch white cardstock insert featuring a painting of the Red Room in the White House decorated for Christmas. This card is signed and inscribed “To Sam With Very Best Wishes – Thanks George Bush” in black marker in the upper right corner of the 2004 White House card. The 16th and 17th items in this lot are a 13 x17-inch white embossed paper folio with a 12 x 16-inch white cardstock insert featuring a painting of a statue of a young child next to a fountain outside the snow-covered White House and a Christmas tree decorated inside. The sentiment below the painting is dated 2007 in black type. The 18th item in this lot is lot is a 13 x 17-inch ivory embossed paper folio with a 12 x 16-inch white cardstock insert featuring a painting of the Red Room in the White House decorated for Christmas, and the sentiment below the painting dated 2004 in black type.
