Offered in this lot are two vintage photographs of Andres Mazali with his domestic soccer team, Club Nacional de Football. Nacional have been one of Uruguay’s top teams since the early 20th century, claiming 46 Primera Division titles and three wins in the presitigous Copa Libertadores. Mazali played for Nacional from 1919 to 1930, winning five Primera Division titles in his decade of play for Los Bolsos. In addition to his tremendous goalkeeper play, Mazali was the 1920 South American champion in the 400m Hurdles and an accomplished basketball player for Club Atletico Olimpia in Montevideo.

These two photographs show Mazali with Club Nacional. The first picture, which has been folded several times, shows Mazali seated front and center in a sweater with a soccer ball. The second photograph shows Mazali and the rest of the Nacional team in a stadium with a large Cerveza Quilmes advertisement in the background. The first picture measures 6.75 x 4.5 inches, while the second photograph is 7 x 5.25 inches. These photographs originate from the estate of Andres Mazali. These items come with a LOA confirming they are part of the Rony Almeida Soccer Collection.
