1992 was the final season for infielder Willie Randolph as his 18-year career finished with the New York Mets, the team he would later manage. Randolph appeared in 90 games for the Mets in 1992, batting .252. Offered here are two bats Randolph used during his final season in the Majors. The first bat is a Louisville Slugger S44 model bat. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints present on the barrel. The handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip and Randolph’s number “12” had been handwritten in silver marker on the knob. The second bat is a Louisville Slugger S2 model bat that displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel. Randolph’s number “12” has been handwritten in white on the knob and the barrel has a cupped end. Randolph has signed both of these bats in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game Used”. These bats derive from the personal collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Randolph will accompany these bats.
